Tech Terrace is a 1-square mile neighborhood located adjacent to the southern border of the Texas Tech University campus. Census data shows that Texas Tech is the most highly educated neighborhood in all of Lubbock. Residents predominantly consist of students and faculty of Texas Tech, attorneys that enjoy quick access to Lubbock’s courthouses and revitalization of the central business district (1 mile east of Tech Terrace northeast boundary), and physicians that practice in the medical district that is adjacent to Tech Terrace’s western boundary.
Tech Terrace has 2 city parks, a quaint retail district in the center of the neighborhood, a free trolley that circles through the neighborhood and campus on school days, and an active Neighborhood Association that has annual fundraisers, service projects and provides an overall sense of pride and community for its residents. Tech Terrace is the most diverse, lively, spirited, and interesting neighborhood in Lubbock.
